Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer, and songwriter for many years. She was raised by her mom throughout the USA she faced numerous racial insults that made her feel being a bit unpopular. As she entered the 9th grade she started to feel more confident when she was acknowledged by her teachers as a success for her performance at school's audition. The singer not only gained confidence because of the experience and gained experience, but also changed her the direction of her career. She attended the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. At the age of 23 she began her career making her debut on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. Her most memorable break came from the role of The Lady of The Lake, in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great praise for the role. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC, she gained greater recognition. Alongside being an acclaimed singer she has released two solo albums as well as an extended version. As an activist, she strives to promote LGBT equality.
