Zoe-perry
Perry is she is Chicago native who was birthed to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as seen by flashback) her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's initial TV roles. Her parents did not allow her to perform by her parents until an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the anxiety it could cause. Perry shy and shy for acting in high school, started to act in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Following her graduation, Perry relocated into New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led the actress back to California and she was able to find theater jobs. Perry was a part of Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry had a role on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. She played the younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off show that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another younger portrayal of her mother. The character was chosen through an audition, even having a strong association with it.
