Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in the United States. Ashford is an actor as well as a singer and dancer. One of her first Broadway productions included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You, she won the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in the Play. Annaleigh Ashley Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with actors and directors on stage and screen for her entire career. Ashford will be next starring opposite Kumail Nanjiani on the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford is involved in Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust that stars Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. The film is a Hulu Original and will be streamed via Disney DTC. In March of 2023 Ashford returns to Broadway and star opposite Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will form the team of creators for the production. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, based off the scandal that included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp during the national crisis. For two seasons, she played a prominent role in the hit show on CBS called B Positive. Also, she was a part of the hit series created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, with the legendary actresses Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. No stranger to Broadway Ashford has been awarded both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her performance as Essie. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde is among her other Broadway credits. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and raised in Denver is now based living in Los Angeles and New York.
